Lyn, thank you for submitting this notice; I’ve added a new category at the top of my list: “Compline outside of brick walls.” I hope to join your call in the near future. Is the information you gave me in the comment more accurate than the website? I thought that since I had a delay in adding your entry, that perhaps the website has more up-to-date information for the conference call.

      • #9 by Lyn on July 10, 2015 - 5:16 pm

Hello Ken-Thank you for adding our service! We’d love to have you call in and join us on Tuesday evening. Yes, the website is more up-to-date and has the conference call number that people should use to call in. We used the previous number that I left in the comments for years, but recently the sound quality began to degrade quite badly so we switched to the number that is now listed on the website. Many thanks again. – Lyn

*My apologies if this is a double-post. I’m not used to WordPress’ system.

      • #10 by wmichaelshirk on July 21, 2015 - 6:45 pm

It was great to have you join us tonight! If you had any questions about it, we are always happy to talk about liturgy and prayer. Many blessings!

Could you add another item under Nova Scotia, please? The Holy Heart Schola Cantorum sings Compline at St. Mary’s Cathedral Basilica, 1531 Grafton Street, Halifax, Nova Scotia, every Sunday at 6:15 PM. Regular parishioners and visitors to the cathedral are invited to listen and to join in (copies of the music are provided). The Schola is Halifax’s all-men’s choir specializing in Gregorian Chant. We sing a capella, in Latin. The choir does not have a website, but it does have a Facebook page (under the name Halifax’s Holy Heart Schola Cantorum).

Ken, thank you for maintaining this list and for all your wonderful work. I’m hoping you might be willing to list the monthly Compline service at the Episcopal Church of St. John the Evangelist in San Francisco, sung by Endersnight (endersnight.org). Compline is third Sundays of the month at 8:30pm; our 1-year anniversary Compline is this coming Sunday. I’d love to tell you a little more about the group but couldn’t find a private contact option here — I’d be delighted if you could reach out to me at dpj@endersnight.org. Thanks!

    Hi there!

I am the leader of the Women’s Compline Choir at the University of King’s College in Nova Scotia, Canada. The Dean of Students at King’s pointed me to your website and I am so glad to see this amazing resource for people interested in Sung Compline.

I do have a slight correction: the Women’s Choir service at King’s is at 9:30pm on Monday nights, not 10:00pm as listed. It is just an old timing – we now have Compline every Monday and Tuesday at 9:30pm (during the academic term, and often on Mondays during the summer).

Thanks again for your work here.

    Karis

  21. #35 by Ken Peterson on April 28, 2017 - 9:28 am

Thanks, Karis, for your correction. I’ve made it today.

News from the Twin Cities: St. John the Evangelist has sung Compline every Thursday from September through the end of June. Local groups Lumina (all female) and Mirandola Ensemble (STBB) alternate.

The Minnesota Compline Choir is now at Pilgrim Lutheran Church in St. Paul. I’m not sure what their schedule is yet, but last year it was one Sunday a month at 6:51 p.m.

    Thanks for maintaining this website.

  24. #38 by Arthur D DuGarm on September 17, 2017 - 6:52 pm

Three more updates for the Twin Cities:

    1) The Minnesota Compline Choir is at Pilgrim Lutheran Church (1935 Saint Clare Ave., St. Paul, MN) at 6:51pm on the 3rd Sunday of each month.

    2) St. Paul’s Episcopal Church on the Hill has closed. Shrinking congregation, I guess.

    3) St. John the Evangelist, has weekly sung compline on Thursdays at 7 p.m. I think that I forgot the time in my last reply

  25. #39 by The Very Rev. Mark Kowalewski on September 21, 2017 - 6:01 pm

In Los Angeles, St. John’s Cathedral in downtown Los Angeles celebrates Compline the first and third Sundays of every month at 9:00 p.m. — wonderful schola, beautiful building, candlelight in the darkness
